What do mannequin heads, mesmerizing light shows, sultry vocals and punchy dark pop tracks have to do with each other? They all live together harmoniously in the world of Julia Powell.

Her 2022 Debut EP, Ephyra, solidified her in the eyes of fans as nothing they had heard before. “Cathartic,” “feels like you’re floating in a void,” “not sure if I should cry or dance or both,” are some of the most common descriptions of the sonic landscapes she creates in her home studio - entirely by herself.

And then there’s the shows. “Her show felt like I was having an out of body experience… I want to do it again” one fan said. Whether the out of body experience came from the light show she brings with her, the gut punching lyrics, the alluring performance she gives or the cathartic release that is her sound remains to be explained.

Since Ephyra, Powell has been marinating a new Album set to be released into the world in late 2025.
